Hayling Island Weekender EN-A Chapter Participants have just enjoyed a weekend at the Warners'Leisure "Lakeside" facility on Hayling Island. The weather was too rough for much outdoor sports participation, although some did brave the elements to have a go at rifle shooting. Most were content to use Lakeside as a base for a chill-out break, doing their own activity of choice, and meeting up for meals and company in the evening. Some spent time (and money) at Portsmouth's Gunwharf Quays retail mall, and braved the heights to mount the crows' nest viewing platform at the famous Spinnaker tower. Food and entertainment were as good as usual at Warners, but the companionship oflike-minded individuals was what made the weekend a success. |
